Mr.Tenney,
Ive got a question about the War of 1812.
What exactly was so sugnificant about Canada? I know I should know that because I did that lesson. But I dont remember reading about it in the book.
Spencer McIntyre
Canada was significant because the United States thought that the Canadian people, who were mostly French at the time, would turn against the British. Plus, could you imagine the territorial gain and resources that would be available with the addition of Canada?
I hope this helps. Let me know if it did not.
mr tenney…
uhm…
what does “issues of the revolution” mean? like what are we supposed to talk about…
it’s the only topic i’m confused about…
thanks
Lindsay,
“Issues Behind the Revolution” refers to those events that led the American people to Declare thier Independence and fight the Revolutionary War. The policy of salutary neglect, then the list of British acts (laws), and those two infamous Boston events (the tea party & the massacre). On Monday, you will have to draw another card from the deck so please look at the other topics too: Slavery, Manifest Destiny, Civil War, Our Government/Constitution, and the Issues Behind Revolution.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you need additional help.
Mr. Tenney
Miranda,
Go back to the tenneyshistory.com ‘home’ page. There you will see two tabs ‘blackboard’ and blended schools.’ Either of these will work. Login using your username (tv2012.msellen) and your password. Once you’re into blackboard, click on the ‘chapters’ tab. We are currently taking notes on ‘The Issues Behind the American Revolution.’
Let me know if that helps.
Mr. Tenney
Mr. Tenney,
sorry about that last comment……..but by the way how many people really did die in the French and Indian war? Is there any data that shows and approximate number?
I am confused on the Sons of LIberty thing. I’ve been searching forever to try and find the thing, but I click on the discussion board, and all that comes up is search. I type in the title, and it only says it can not find it. I am so confused, can you help me?
And the Miller, Milligan thing, they’re both my names, but only the Miller one has the information on it. The Milligan one is just blank, but I’ll just live with using the Miller one. Anyways, it’s shorter to type. LOL.
Can you help me?
